I updated my iPad to iOS5. My first backup since the update took much longer than backups on the previous version of iOS. It also took a lot more disk space than the others. I eventually cancelled the backup since it looked like there might have been an error. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

My backup took longer but did complete OK.

Did you notice it taking a lot more disk space than usual? I don't usually monitor that, but I was in the one of the folders on the computer and I noticed the space indicator going down pretty quickly. After I cancelled the backup, the disk space that it took was not returned. I found the files that were made from the backup in "Library/Application Support/Mobile Sync/Backup/<the ipad backup folder>/Snapshot/ ". Would it be safe to delete just these files?
