how do i correctly set up the LED flash notification? cant seem to get it to work properly!

Yeah I have this problem too. I assumed it was just a bug. Mine won't flash on alerts even though I have it enabled.

Rumor is that's a feature for the next iPhone.

I've only been able to invoke the feature by having a phone call come through when the phone is locked.
It flashes 4 times every couple seconds while the phone is ringing.

And the flash is damn bright!
