ios 5 gm same thing as release build?

I had the gm on my ipad - build 9A334. I installed the latest itunes today and restored my ipad so as to get the latest build. All went as planned - but it still says 9A334. What gives?

It's as it should be.

GM should always end up being the publicly available version.

Historically, GM = golden master, i.e. the gold disc containing the final retail release build of software sent to the CD manufacturer for duplication.
