I am running iOS 5 on my 13 day old iPhone 4 and I find that when the phone is locked and when you click the home key, there is a bit of a lag before the lock screen comes up..

Everything else is fine.

Has anyone else experienced lag from phone being locked to showing the lock screen after clicking home button or lock button?

I think it's because the A4 chip is under-clocked when you lock your phone to save battery so when you unlock it takes time to unlock.

*this info maybe false*

That's odd. I don't have any problem with the standard lock screen responding quickly, but there is a slight pause (split second) after using the security lock. Perhaps there's an app running in the background on your phone that causes this lag issue?
