Is the update coming "over-the-air" or do you have to plug it into iTunes like the days of yore?
If you have the GM though, there is no reason to update whatsoever
I usually just do it for the heck of it...I'm kind of OCD about about my software updates. I went through a period of using backups, but then I just stopped. I like starting off fresh. Lets me know the phone is running in tip top shape. I do have iOS 5 GM by the way...

There are a couple of bugs in the Music app I've noticed, I'm updating to the release version.The only difference is in the file name. It is literally a waste of time
