iPhone 4-32gb. Before the iOS 5 update, I had maybe 0.15gb of used storage under the "other" bar in iTunes. Now, after the update, it's up to 7.3 gb!! I have no space left to update apps, let alone possibly add content later on. I always kept at least 5gb free for general use (movies, new music, photos, etc.) and now it's all gone.

Anyone else having this problem? Anyone else know what this "other" data is?

Lion 10.7.2 and iTunes 10.5

Yes. I had 20GB of free space on my HDD before trying to update to iOS 5 (multiple times). Now I have 6GB left.

How do we clear that out?

edit: We may be talking about diff things. My computers HDD keeps losing space every time I try to update to iOS 5. No idea what is filling up the HDD.

Hmmm, yeah I don't have an issue with my HDD. Just the iPhone's flash drive itself. Lost 7 gigs in the blink of an eye.

Your's might be that after a sync, old versions of apps and iOS software are kept in the trash, thus taking up space until you empty the trash.
