iOS 5 = PC free = Getting rid of iTunes

Now that iOS 5 has arrived, as soon as it has finished installing, I will finally be able to escape this nightmare and uninstall iTunes.

Still needed to sync anything from your computer to the device like photos / music and even some stuff for apps. Good for fast local backup / restore scenarios as well.

I am using the iCloud backup and am very glad for delta software updates right on the phone. iTunes is definitely taking a backseat and probably won't be used as often as it was.

Exactly. I still need it to sync photos and the occasional non-iTunes video. But other than that, I won't be using it for much at all.
