Hi

I was really looking forward to the new improved auto correct and spell check and the fact that you can turn off auto correct and keep spell check on. What I have found is that this works in all apps I have tried except Safari. So if I type in Safari I no longer get auto correct. I have checked safari settings to no avail. Is this how things work now? I often edit text on web pages so it is kind of useful to me.

I saw a previous post saying the same thing existed in the beta but a reply said this would be fixed in the final release. I am posting here in the new IOS 5 forum rather than reply to that post, which is OK I hope.

Are you wondering why in Safari Search Box there's no autocorrect and spell check? If you are, I too am wondering. I miss it.

I have noticed it missing in the search box and on certain web pages I use where I type in text boxes. I don't mind it missing too much from the search box because google usually does a pretty good job of correcting but I like to use it when making posts to websites.
