iOS 5 stuck on checking mail

Both my iPad 2 and iPhone 4S started getting stuck checking mail a few days ago and its draining my battery in just a few hours on the phone and a day on the iPad.

I have a yahoo account and exchange account i have deleted and re-set up and have removed both tried one it keeps getting stuck at connecting to mail.

It's made my phone and iPad worthless. More worried about the phone. I have had every iPhone and have never had a problem like this.

I did a factory restore as new and a factory restore from back up the problem stays.

I see discussion in the forums but no solution.

After much troubleshooting I think it was a corrupt email in my yahoo account hanging the server connection and causing the mail connection attempt to drain the battery.

I think it's fixed.

Sometims I also meet the same problem because I just set the service wrong.
