ios 5 syncing nightmare .. please advise!

Ok ... (deep breath)

After taking about 5 hours, I finally got the ios 5 to work on my ipad 2.
Somewhere when I was surfing, I was asked to change my apple id, and I did.

When the ipad finally came to, i had double of ALL my apps on it.

SO, I restored the ipad to factory, signed out of the store, and signed in with my new apple id.

Fine, EXCEPT for the fact that I now no longer have 25 gb of storage on icloud, because it's a different id ....

AND, the email address that I was using at *me.com is now "taken" (of course, it's taken by me)

Does that make sense?? Any ideas of what I can do???

a. There are instructions on how to use a separate iCloud account from your Apple ID (iTunes account).
b. Elaborate on "double of all my apps"
c. Go to Mails, Contacts, Calendars in Settings. Delete the current iCloud account from the iPad and re-login using your 25GB account.

You just need to log out of it on the iPad and sign I'm using the correct cloud email. Keep your iTunes email normal.

2 things:

1 - now that it backs up to the cloud, can i delete the backups on my computer made by itunes?

2 - everything seems to work now EXCEPT I keep getting an error in mail that the icloud password is wrong, which it is NOT. Any ideas????
