iOS 5 Syncing Question

So right now I have my iPhone set to "Sync with this phone over Wi-Fi."

My question is, if I plug it into the computer and press sync, will is sync over Wi-Fi because the box is checked? Or will it notice that it is plugged in and sync over USB for a faster sync?

no, it will sync over USB which is faster, the Wifi sync only works when the device is not attached to the mac.
