I was hoping to see a lot of things in iOS 5, some of them are just my personal preferences, others are probably very helpful to many people.

Here's a list, maybe Apple will eventually take them into account.

1. iMessages needs a "Send as SMS only for Non-international numbers" ON/OFF Toggle.

2. A cydia tweak mail enhancer is an absolute must. I need to be able to have more than 1 signature for my emails on my iphone. It's completely bogus to have to write a different one each time I need to write an email from a different account and 1 signature just doesn't cut it, especially not "Sent from my iphone."

3. Activator and SBSettings would be great. It would remove a huge percentage of the reason why I usually end up jailbreaking...

Feel free to add things on. I get the feeling that since Apple has already adopted some 'jb' features, they may be willing to adopt a few more. Oh and by adopt I mean steal.

A quick reply button for SMS so you don't have to close out of the application you're presently in to reply to a text. I'll continue jailbreaking just for that feature.

Just thought of another one:

There was this app called "Multicleaner" that would allow me to quit an app as I would exit it. One of the most useful apps ever. Probably used it more times than I could count in a day unless I had already set the Backgrounder to close it fully on exiting.

I would like to see something like Multifl0w implement, I'm not to keep on Apples multitasking.

good ideas here do far.

option for iMessages to never SMS internationally, sbsettings or at least toggle wifi on/off in notification center, quick reply to messages... sounds good to me.

what I wish is that more apps would have actual widgets within notification center. calendar would be nice. I don't mind having to scroll through more stuff if it looks good and is more than just a list.

Podcasts are still in the PC-era it seems. I want to be able to view my subscriptions on my iPhone and have it work the same way as iTunes on my PC. The way it is now, I still have to sync to get them on there, or else download them individually.

Also, playcounts and ratings need to be stored in the cloud. Right now you have to sync them the old fashioned way, which is why I won't use iCloud for music yet.

Not exactly what you are looking for but an acceptable work around is to use the custom shortcuts. Go to Settings>General>Keyboards then scroll down to Add New Shortcut.... You can then enter a simple few letter shortcut that will add your full signature to any email. I have ones set up for for my .me personal account and one for my work email. I use mesig for one and exsig for the other and simply typing those few letter gives me a perfect sig for each account. Hope that works for you for now.

I agree although that functionality may require iTunes Match, which is a couple weeks from release. Hopefully that will be supported.

iTunes Match just sort of validates the songs you got through other sources as if you got them from iTunes, so that you can use the cloud features. So theoretically all the actual cloud functionality should be there right now for your iTunes songs. I tried testing this out by deleting an re-downloading one of my iTunes songs from the cloud but all the playcount data was lost. Not encouraging..

You're right- that is a good workaround in the meantime! Thanks. I just learned how to do this for other shortcuts but it never occurred to me to use for signatures... Mail Enhancer tweak spoiled me I guess!

Thanks again.

Like you said, theoretically. Maybe that functionality will be added with Match, maybe not. It's still a work in progress, we'll see when it's released in a couple weeks.

As of right now the only iCloud music functionality is redownloading purchased songs, and that isn't really a syncing function like most of the rest of iCloud. The Match stuff has some actual syncing which is why I don't expect rating/play count syncing before that.

Notifications on the lock screen could be improved. Things like emails, or Facebook, I don't need a message, just a count indicator to show that there's something there.

Also, I want my notifications to stay on the lock screen until I've read them. Example, I get an SMS while unlocked, don't read it and lock my phone. There's no notification on the lock screen to say I still have an unread message. It's easy to "ignore" an SMS when you are say, writing an email, and then forget about that SMS.
