Ok, hopefully someone has encoutnered this issue and can help me out :(

I am logged into twitter through the App and in settings.

Push notifications are working through the app and displaying as an alert but not through ios5 notification centre as a banner. I am not just missing the banner as there is no notifications when i drag open the centre even after recieving 2-3 replys.

Setting in Centre:
Twitter on
Show 5 recent items
Banner
Badge app icon on
Sounds on
View in lock screen on

Thanks in advance for any assistance

You have Twitter listed in your Notifications Center settings???? I don't....and I have the app installed.....

I just figured maybe Twitter didn't support the notification center yet.....weird.

Only tweets that are sent directly to you are pushed to Notification Center. I guess it would be to much for the os if it had to push potentially 1000's of tweets to your phone a day... I too was disappointed by this. I was hoping to turn it into my news feed.

But there are options "Messages" (i guess all of them) and "Mentions & Replies" (this what you are talking about)... Or i'm wrong?

Even those are not being tweeted to me. I have a 2nd account in which I am testing with and sending a tweet directly to myself and they aint coming through.

these push notifications are working fine, but these are pop ups as alerts via the App itself.

What is not working is notifications through ios5 Notification centre

I was hoping to see News Feed also, i'm reluctant anyhow to have to use the Twitter App as i think it's rubbish, i use Tweetbot and it's far better.

But even Twitter is not displaying Messages, Mentions , etc

Bit disappointed with notifications tbh.

I use an app called "Boxcar" for Twitter notifications since the app I use (Twittelator Pro doesn't support push). It's great and it is working just fine with the IOS 5 notification center. You can use Boxcar to see your @ replies, if your tweets get RTs, if someone follows you etc. It works with a lot of different Twitter apps, too.
