iOS 5 Update from different computer

Hi,

Hope someone has the answer to this. I am trying to update an iPhone on a PC, but keep getting errors (the phone is synced to the PC normally). Can I update using a different computer (my mac) then restore all the data on the phone using the PC once iOS5 is up and running?

Just make sure u backup and sync once with ur PC before updating on the MAC. After updating, u can just connect it to ur PC again and restore from backup
