Hi just tried to update my sister iPod 4gen to IOS 5 (she was at IOS4.3.3)

So i updated iTunes to 10.5 and then synced the iPod to the PC to make sure all files were up to date.

Then i clicked on iPod and click update, so it asked for IOS 5 i'm like yes then click go

So it download the full update and then i see on the iPod the Connect to iTunes sync.

Then on iTunes it says Preparing iPod to restore. I'm like WTF

Now when the iPod finished on iTunes it asked me to setup the iPod like a new one or restore from a backup.

Never did dis rom 4.0 to 4.3 or to 4.3.3

You can restore from a backup and get all of your info back and move on. iOS will stay while giving you your data back.

Yes but l'ost all the saved games all folders

Saved games all folders? What does that even mean?

Your game save files will be in your backup as backups contain app data. Sure you may have lost your folders, but it can easily be fixed. My iPad didn't keep my folders and I had to recreate them as well. No biggie.

She had final fantasy iii

She lost all her progress and that is for all the games

Folders it's annoying to redo all 200 apps

Like I said, restoring from a backup should bring back her FF data. While recreating folders isn't fun, just do it on move on.

(*It's easier to recreate them in iTunes.)
