OK
Have been upgrading from IOS 4.3.5 to 5.0 and after doing the backup phase the system went into a Verifying IPad restore with Apple and has been there for over 1.5 hours now...
Not sure if it is uploading the entire back-up to apple for just a checksum or what....
There is a moving "Barber Shop Pole -Sideways" that shows there is activity of some sort but no indication of how much longer I must wait....Not sure if the upgrade is hung now or I just need to wait longer ?
Any advice ?

Disconnected the iPad and the update screen didn;t change or provide an error.
2 hours later it was still the same...
Tried to cancel the update and it denotes it can not stop as it is restoring the software on the ipad...
