I made a backup of my iPhone when I was on iOS 5.1.1 using iCloud AND on iTunes just to be sure I don't lose anything, I backed up my SHSH for 5.1.1 aswell but after I updated to iOS 6.0 I restored my backup and iOS 6 is horrible, my phone became unusably slow, it would freeze up while trying to type texts, it would get uncomfortably hot from normal periods of use, my battery would only last a few hours and I couldn't get more then 1 bar of service no matter where I was in town.

I downgraded from iOS 6.0 using Redsn0w's method by stitching my 5.1.1 SHSH Blob to the iOS 5.1.1 ispw, after doing so I no longer have any backups, what happened to my iOS 5.1.1 backup's I made?

I tried backing up using iTunes and it says the backup is too new for this device which leaves me with no backup's I can use, I tried restoring again to set it up using iCloud to restore and it only comes up with my iPad for restore options which I don't have any contact info saved too.

So now I have no back up, all of my information is gone and I have no contacts. I can't figure out what wen't wrong but it won't let me choose a backup from a later date before my iOS 6.0 upgrade.

I also didn't backup my phone on iOS 6.0 and I kept iCloud off just to make sure nothing was over writen by accident so I don't understand why it is telling me my previous 5.1.1 backup with this same iPhone is no longer supported by that iPhone when I didn't make a 6.0 backup over top of it and why I can't choose from an older backup just incase it automatically backed up my phone.

If you kept the same device name, then your 5.x.x backup was updated to 6.x.x.
Can't use new backups on older firmware.
The solution - everytime you jump firmware levels, give the device a new name, that saves the last backup you made on the older firmware.
