Ok so semi-related question.

Why can't A5/A5X be tethered jailbroken? What could possibly not allow them to, and why isn't there a method yet?

I think it's hardware related and the exploits they use for the older devices don't work on the A5 chip but I don't know more than that.

I doubt they'll release anything for betas anymore because something went wrong (I forgot what) and they got upset when they released the iOS 6 jailbreak which was meant for developers only.

If I remember correctly, I think it was because non-devs without access were pirating the beta ipsw's via bitorrent sites and such, so they could run the jb.
