App frequently lags and keyboard too, so slow, so many freezing.
I always have to do a reboot when I get the lag to get the speed back.
I already tried to do a clean install but nothing.

Can I expect iOS 7 to fix those lags and improve the general performance of iOS?

Maybe some apps is "killing" your iPhone? Or hardware issues? Because i have also iPhone 5, 3 months didnt restart, using a lot and have never seen any lags. Super fast

Already tried a restore of iOS 6 as mentioned above..

Worth restoring as new and not putting the old back up on if you can. My old 3GS started getting very slow, started afresh with a new install of iOS6 then installed the apps i wanted back on rather than putting the last back up back on and it was fine from then.

I've had a few lags on my iPhone now and then too. usually happens when switching between home screens, getting stuck between the pages.

My kid's iPod does that when there are *many* programs in the recently used app list. When I close them all or reboot the performance issues go away. As an experiment, when you have the issue close all your recently used apps and see what happens.

OT and not directed at OP: I don't want to have another debate or hijack this thread with a "you shouldn't have to close your apps" discussion.

You're describing an issue I had in Beta 2 with iMessage having trouble activating and slowing down the entire OS. Restore the phone as NEW. The problem should go away.
