So, everyone keeps saying that you can't downgrade to IOS 7.0.6 because Apple stopped signing it.

Is there a hack or a way around this, or could I "fake sign" this code myself?

(I don't have those SHSH blob thingies)

If so, that would help me downgrade from iOS 7.1 and get on with my life.

There is no currently known way to downgrade that I am aware of.

The only device that can run iOS 7 that is capable of downgrading to different firmware versions is the A4 based iPhone 4, with SHSH blobs or something like iFaith. But anything running an A5 and newer, there is no downgrade available. Unfortunately.

Not even an iPhone 4 can be downgraded or restored to any iOS7 firmware other than current firmware (7.1.1) since there is no tool to do this at the current time.

That's right, iH8sn0w still has to update iFaith. But to be honest, I doubt that's ever going to happen.. Awesome tool though.

p0sixspwn was updated for iOS 6.1.6 just a few days ago (the standalone) so either he found a copy of the source or he wrote it from scratch since he followed up with it taking only 30 minutes and original post suggests only works for A4 devices

Thank you so much for telling me this! Didn't know it finally got updated. Been looking for this for a while now for a friend on 6.1.6 who for some reason didn't want to jailbreak tethered with redsn0w first.
