Hey everyone,

I am a bit confused.

It's about the ios 7 version of the facebook app for iphone. On the screenshots it sports a bar at the bottom which has the links to newsfeed/profile/messages etc, replacing the fly-in menu on the previous version.

But, the one on my phone still has the fly in menu, notice the 'Search' icon has been replaced with the 'menu' icon and missing tabs at the bottom, the app is up to date -

Could this be the result of an a/b test being conducted by facebook to figure out the best UI for the app or am I simply missing a toggle switch somewhere in the settings?

I suspect they are doing some testing every now and then. I've seen, in the old app, also the tabbar appear for some people. On the website, I have a side menu but my wife's account does not.

mine is acting the same way, no nav bar on bottom after update. Not sure what the trick is to turn it on.

I wish they would put it back the old way like the OP has it across the board, it just wastes too much screen real estate as it is.
