Multitasking?- either Auxo or Web OS

New safari- Ok it really does look like chrome on my Nexus 4.

Control centre- has app short cuts and 1 or 2 more toggles then the quick settings on JB 4.2.2.

Camera UI- this is new.

Today view-could be seen something similar to Google Now.

Auto app updates-OK Android had this and no other OS I know(before iOS 7) did this.

Airdrop- Android does not use wifi direct for Android beam.

Tell me anymore features Apple "copied" Android with and I will try and refute them.

This horse has already been beaten to a pulp in this thread, which has sunk to the bottom for a reason. Please let the dead rest in peace.

Who cares? As long as i have a stable machine, these things doesn't matter. In fact, i will wait for the early batch of guinea pigs to adopt ios 7 and see how it goes. If it goes well, then maybe i will update or buy a new device later.

just keeping spitting out BS.
The fact is not about apple coping. It is about the fact Apple and its fanboys are massive cry babies over every little thing that someone else remotely copies and then turns around and does huge copies and rip offs of others work.

It is the fact Apple is the worlds larges hypocrite. Get back to me when you address that issue.

Who cares if Apple are hypocrites though? All manufacturers are to a degree and if I let things like this affect my mindset, I would never buy anything.

Do you people seriously weigh up the ethics of companies and research their patents history, whether they have ever employed child labour, or copied a competitor before you buy a product. I mean seriously? I see something I like and decide whether I can afford it and then buy it. Some of you have got way too much time on your hands. Whining about hypocrites yet I dare say you own something in your home that is not exactly squeaky clean in terms of manufacturing/marketing ethics. Do us a favour eh?

Auto app updates have been available for desktop operating systems long before Android came out. So don't credit Android for this.

Although im sure people will try, I get the feeling it will be a massive waste of time - you're clearly a zealot who will not change their mind no matter what.

There will be no more refuting anyway because it seems someone has wielded the banhammer. :(

It's not a copy of Android, it's a copy of every single mobile OS in the past five years smashed together.

Homescreen: MIUI

Icons: MeeGo

Multitasking: WebOS

Browser: Chrome for Android

Gestures: BlackBerry 10

Control centre: Android

Flat design: Windows Phone

Colour scheme: Toys 'R' Us?

I feel its a copy of a lot of different mobile OS's. But frankly I'm glad. I'm looking forward to its final release.

I don't mind the extra features as they're always welcome. It's the design and color theme that I question. I don't mind the flat look but everything just looks so incomplete and unfinished.

This is a really good description of my opinion in this case.

LOL, that's a pretty harsh list :D Not saying I disagree, but I'm sure this thing will look pretty ace when it comes out anyway. And let's not get our knickers too much in a twist while the poor OS is still only in beta...

That said, if it still won't let me choose my own default apps, to hell with it anyway tbh :)

How about iCloud Keychain? Google Chrome has been doing this for quite a while.
How about Safari Tabs preview? Only difference between Safaria tab preview and Chromes is that Safari has a stacked card deck look. Apple even copied the swipe away feature.
How about swipe to archive / delete emails?
How about quick toggles? While toggles may have been around a while, quick toggles has been a staple of Android and Apple very much copied the look and feel. This is blatant copying.
How about Notification Center and Toasts. This came out in iOS5, but is also a blatant copy of Android and Apple should be sued for several billion dollars once the USPTO approves Googles patent filed back in 2008.
iOS6 stole several other ideas from Android, including little things lock lockscreen icons and "VIP" Inbox.
But here is a nice little picture for you. Control Centre is just a ripoff of AOSP/AOKP code used by Cyanogenmod team and several other developers. I decided to just make my Control Center look very much like iOS7, although I can manipulate it as little or as much as I want.

In a way it is. That's not a bad thing. But Apple has been slowly mimicking ideas at least seen on android devices, as well as jailbreak features for the past few yrs. It is what is. I accept it, and its not a big deal to me.
