So even the iOS dev site doesn't have a download link for the new 5S.

Am I correct in assuming that one cannot download this specific version of the iOS for the 5S?

What? The latest version of iOS is iOS 7.0.3. It's the same for all phones.

Sorry, let me clarify. My original post was as clear as mud. :roll eyes:

I am looking for the IPSW file for iOS7, specifically for the iPhone 5S. On the iOS Development website, one can download all version of iOS7 for all Apple devices EXCEPT the iPhone 5S and 5C.

Why are those files unavailable for the 5S and 5C?

(I know I can update and/or restore the 5S in iTunes, but that's not what I want.)

I wonder why they haven't posted it on the dev site, however here are the direct links if you need them: [LINK DELETED]

I'm not sure if this will help, but can't you just perform a download of the most current software through iTunes? Don't restore or update your device, just perform a download only. The newest IPSW should then be in your iTunes cache which you can copy to a more convenient location. I'm also curious as to why the IPSW hasn't been linked on the dev portal yet.

When you restore your device the IPSW goes to this folder:

~/Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates

If you click restore and agree to all of the messages it pops at you, it will download there. It will ask you one more time if you wish to restore, but click no and the IPSW will still be where I mentioned above. To get to that location:

1. Go to finder
2. Press command-shift-g
3. Enter the text and press enter

Are those files that are available for other phones for iOS 7.0.3 or some other version?

I've always used [LINK DELETED] to get the specific IPSW files I needed. I think that site has every single file possible.

+1

This is where I go every time when I need a firmware for my iPhone & iPod Nano.
Great site.
