is there a way i can do it on the iphone?

can i use a different computer to jailbreak my phone?
It is Windows only for now so if the different computer is Windows then you are good to go.
You can do it on a mac.
You need to download a trial of a virtual machine.
example Parallels 10 - here is a direct link

Download a trial of Windows

Install Windows in the Virtual Machine. Download Pangu

Run Pangu.
I recommend that you actually BUY Parallels. It is a great program.

Not meaning to be rude, but if you're asking that you should probably wait for the Mac version.
Agreed. That's a lot of time and effort just to jb (imo). Especially if you're not tech savvy, awaiting the Mac version will be the best bet.
I disagree, maybe the sooner you get the jailbreak via suggested ways, the more time you have to play with it and still be able to restore back to ios 8.1 before apple closes the door. Sooner = more time for the learning curve errors. I am assuming you are new to the jailbreak scene.
If so, know what it is you are installing and where it came from. Once apple updates and stops signing ios 8.1 there will be no way to re-jailbreak for some time if you need to start from scratch due to user errors

Its not too difficult. You will install Parallels.
Installing a virtual machine is also not too hard.
This is a video of how to do it in Parallels 9... The process is pretty much the same, but Parallels 10 looks slightly different.
