iOS 8/9: Facebook events not showing in calendar

On iOS 9 now, iPhone 6 and iPad 2.

None of the events I have on my Facebook sync to my iOS calendar.

I have:
- installed the Facebook app on both devices
- Logged on to Facebook for the integration, under Settings -> Facebook
- Permitted Calendars, Contacts and Facebook app to access my account
- Made sure that the "Facebook events" calendar is checked as "visible" in the Calendar app
- set the settings to sync "3 months of past events".

Facebook birthdays (albeit apparently randomly selected by some Facebook algorithm) made it to my iOS calendar after using the "Update All Contacts" functionality.

Events do not. Not a single Facebook event I am invited to, or have accepted on FB shows up in the calendar.
This is the case both on my iPhone and on my iPad, it was the case under iOS 8 and persisted under iOS 9.

They do show up on my Mac (OS X 10.10) calendar though.

Does anyone have this problem, too? Any idea how to fix it?

Try going to the calendars in your Calendar and uncheck and then check the Facebook calendar, then pull down to refresh all calendars, and then tap on done. Perhaps that will get it to populate the events.

I have the same issue. Showing on MacBook but not iPhone6
