iPhone IOS 8 Pangu Bootloop?

I have a 6 plus and I was wondering if there was a way to jailbreak, and still use touch id and passcode? I tried doing jb earlier but ended up in a bootloop. I heard that the passcode/touchid cause the iphone to crash.

Those problems have largely been fixed. Note that you cannot jailbreak iOS 8.1.1 at this time.

Would i have to get the update thru the pangu app?

If you jailbreak with the latest version of pangu, there isn't any need to update.
