So for some iphones, it's common when you aren't connected to a charger that the wifi and cellular data will turn off the moment you lock it. And you have to manually turn it back on every time you unlock your phone. I've only been experiencing this for 3-4 days, but it's honestly driven me insane, to the point my phone ended up *using* all of my cellular data overnight (Long story, don't ask). But the moment my phone is plugged on a charger, the wifi and cell data stops disabling on lock.

Is there a way to fix this issue? I want my wifi to just run in the background. I read up on many websites; hard resetting, rebooting and restoring doesn't really fix this.

WiFi disconnects when locked (and not plugged in), but cellular data stays connected. It's really been this way for quite a few iOS versions.

No, cellular data is turned off while I am at home and using wifi.
Thats likely why it works that way. If cellular data is on then WiFi will generally disconnect when the phone is asleep (and not plugged in).
