hi mr

id like to think i know ios pretty well, but this has me a bit confused. there's something running (spinning activity circle next to wifi indicator) and i dont know whats causing it. here are some details

1. new 6s
2. upgraded to 9.01
3. tried turning off background apps
4. tried turning off location services
5. tried turning off siri
6. tried almost every combination of 3,4,5.

the think keeps on going and will not stop. is there anything else i can try turning off? id like to figure out whats causing this drain. any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried turning off Safari in iCloud, that used to be a common solution to this kind of problem. If that doesn't work try turning off the rest of the apps in iCloud settings.

Perhaps some iCloud or iTunes or App Store sync is happening or updates being downloaded/installed?

thanks for the reply guys. none of those worked! I tried looking at what app was using the most battery and in the top 3 was lock and home screen at 19%.

not sure what's going on. ill try disabling EVERYTHING at once later this evening.

Hard reset. Hold home button and lock button down together for 10 seconds. I always do a hard reset after I update any of my devices. It kills off all background processes. Never have an issue doing it.
