I got a Siri suggestion for a reminders list today in iOS 9.1 beta 4. Has this always been there? If not then this could be an awesome opportunity to add custom suggestions and even to open it up to third party apps. Imagine seeing a Twitter account or recommended recipe or some other cool, contextually aware suggestion come up from another app.

I think it's something new for 9.1. I started seeing it in 9.1 beta 3. I've had it pop up 3-4 times since.

i'm assuming you started seeing it in 9.1 beta because it took a while for it to learn and decide it would be relevant to present it for you
Yea, but I believe the extra row that can pop up (only ever seems to be a reminders list or scheduled reminders) is new to 9.1.
ah i misunderstood. that may be new, that row popping up with calender events etc was new in 9.0 correct?
because i saw a calender event show up in that extra row in 9.0
I ran 9.0 beta all summer and not once did the extra reminders row ever appear. Not once did I see anyone mention the extra reminders row until very recently. (I've mentioned it with a screenshot in the 9.1 beta 3 thread) and a few have since asked about it. It seems new to just about everyone.
