Whenever I try to play music through the Lightning/USB connector, it gives me some cryptic error about Pandora. I don't even use Pandora. It had always worked fine until I installed iOS 9.2. Anybody else having this problem?

The bluetooth connection still works, but I've always preferred the USB connection in the past.

I have this same car. I haven't tried USB since 9.2, but why not use Bluetooth? It's a TON better. I love how I don't even have to take my phone out of my pocket. Just hop in the car and drive. I'll have to check my USB connection later and let you know if I have the same issue or not.

Similar here with a JVC aftermarket stereo - since 9.2, plugging in the USB port will default to pandora, even if I'm actively using music at the time. It's unbelievably annoying.

A) you don't get the album artwork with Bluetooth
B) your phone isn't charging over Bluetooth
C) I used to just keep my Bluetooth turned off to save battery

Yes - it is convenient to have the phone in your pocket, but I'm often using Google maps anyways, and since that drains battery, I need to have it plugged in anyways. Now I need to use a cigarette adapter to charge because the USB port is malfunctioning.

Glad to hear I'm not alone in this. Hopefully it will be fixed someday (but I'm not holding my breath)

A.) I don't need to see the artwork on the iMID display as it's visible on my iPhone if I want to see it.
B.) In my situation, I never go through my entire battery in any given day. Only charge it at night while I sleep.
C.) Bluetooth stays on 100% of the time on my phone and I still don't use my full battery during the day.

However, I accept that you have different preferences to mine. My comment is only my opinion and personal preference.

I still have yet to try USB on my 2014 civic with 9.2, but hopefully I'll remember later and I'll report back here if it works or not. If mine works, then you might need to do a restore as I restored to 9.2 fresh.

Thank you - I appreciate it! And yes - everybody certainly has different use patterns and preferences :)

I was able to fix my problem by simply deleting the Pandora app from my phone (which I hadn't used in years). After that, I connected the phone and got a cryptic popup error on my phone asking if it should download some app (probably Pandora?). I just hit cancel and everything started working fine.
