iOS 9.2 iPhone 5s battery.

I'm running iOS 8.4.1 which has a massive battery bug, the battery drains very fast that I cannot see the changing numbers "percentages". I had iOS 9.1 beta before but the battery was very bad and phone sometimes also heat up in an unusable way. I heard about iOS 9.2 beta and I wanted to know whether it's better or not, and can it stay for a whole day? I hope the heating issues are resolved and that the battery is good and usable.

I'm using the beta on my 5s. And I can say in my experience that my battery life is amazing. I I had 28 hours combined between standby and usage with 40% left. And my 5s is always cool to the touch. It may vary depending on how you use it. I use to listen to music non stop out loud and that always drained it. But I got on iPod and cut the music of my phone and get on average 23-26 hours

That sounds more like a hardware issue. Most people don't seem to have massive battery issues like that with iOS 8.4.1 (or even iOS 9).

Realize that batteries lose charge capacity over time. I believe Apple says 20% after 300-400 or so charges, about a year roughly charging it daily (since its ever cycle to each 100%. Say one day you charge it from 40%-100 and the next day from 60-100% that's one full cycle or 100% charge)

Meaning say after 12-16 months, your new 100% on the display is really 80% of the mah rated capacity. Ie. your 1507mah battery is relay holding 1205mah now after 1-1.5 years

Your phone is 3 years old. If you've never replaced the battery then it may only be holding 60% of the original capacity as a 100% charge making it feel like its draining super quick. So you may only be getting 904mah when your phone says 100% now.

Time to get a new battery put in if its never been swapped out.
