I'm currently running iOS 9.2 on a Verizon iPhone 6s Plus whenever I get a Mail notification, I cannot close it out in my notification center. It doesn't matter if I read, delete, or reply to the email, the notification does not close out unless I restart my phone. This only happens with Mail notifications, as all other close out.

It's been happening since the iOS 9.0 public beta, and since then I have updated to each new iOS release and still have the same issue. I originally had an iPhone 6 Plus but when I switched to a 6S Plus, my iTunes backup brought the bug with it over to the new phone. I have also tried resetting all settings and that didn't work.

Does anyone know of a fix for this that doesn't involve me losing any data on my phone?

Try in settings to turn off Show in Notification Center then flip it back on later. Settings-Notifications-Mail-Mail Account-Show In Notification Center. I have it off for all of my mail accounts which still alerts me, shows on the lock screen and shows badges if you want.

One doesn't really exist until Apple addresses the issue in some way. The only/main workaround is to reboot the device, which generally does the trick as far as clearing out the stuck notifications.
