I'm excited to try out iOS 9.2 to make sure it's ok with my device as some apple updates slow down devices. I don't know if the PB is a little late but do you all think apple is going to release a public beta ?
Where did they say that performance will be improved? I want to read this statement!I strongly recommend that you stay put on 8.4.1. I'm still on 8.4.1, and Apple has said that performance improvements are on the way with 9.2, but in a while as the betas progress.
I'm pretty sure they didn't say that. Let's try not to spread false information.Where did they say that performance will be improved? I want to read this statement!

I don't see why they wouldn't eventually push a 9.2 public beta. Obviously, it is something that the public wants, based on the response to previous public beta builds. As long as 9.2 is something that they plan on testing extensively with the devs (i.e. 3+ dev betas), then I see no reason for Apple to not provide a public beta. On the other hand, if there is only one or two dev betas, I could see how a public beta would be unnecessary (despite the demand for one).
Good, I hope that this is also the case for the Air 2.FWIW, Apple may not have said performance improvements specifically in the release notes but there are definitely noticeable performance improvements on 9.2b1 vs 9.1 on my 6S
So that should stop people from simply discussing it? I don't claim to know what Apple is or isn't going to do but I sure as heck can have an opinion about it. And you know what this is? A forum. For people to discuss their opinions.Maybe. That said, us thinking one way or another won't really affect what Apple will or won't do.
Apple has said no such thing.
Perhaps you read the 9.2 "notes" in the performance thread here, but that was made by a member of this forum who will update the section as reports come in from other users.
Under performance improvements that thread says, "Soon" but that's not from Apple, just the thread starter.
I just want this beta ASAP. Was very disappointed yesterday when I saw the 9.2 beta release news but then realised it was locked behind a paywall (I'm new to the Apple community so still learning how this all works).
And that was my opinion. Where I didn't say or imply anything about not discussing it.So that should stop people from simply discussing it? That was said in June for the release that wrecked the 8.4.1 performance a month ago."So we’re now looking forward to iOS 9 and as we can see of what we wanted to accomplish, first and foremost, we wanted to elevate the foundations of the platform. Things like extending your battery life, improving performance and enhancing security to protect customer data."

To say exactly what I said, not anything outside of it.Absolutely that's what you implied. Why else would you have said that?
