No complaints here. Performance has been very good on my iPad and for that matter my iPhone 6S+. Sure, some would complain but I'm not one of them at the moment.

I haven't had iPad for a while as I was sick and tired of stuttering animation on my iPad mini 2 every since iOS 8 came out, where iOS 7, just one previous software was night and day smoother. I'm going to purchase iPad air 2 since it's on sale, but I'm wondering if iOS 9.2 and iPad air 2 has animation stutters fixed, like rotation animation in Featured tab of app store, rotation animation lag when in spotlight with keyboard on, in Safari, when viewing certain website, you tap on address bar, and it brings up list of favourites and keyboard and scrolling is stuttery, etc. Could anyone please let me know? Thanks a bunch!

No issues, works great. My only advice would be not to restore from a backup.

Is it smoother than it was, very much so.About as smooth as iOS 8 was......but not smoother than the original iPad Air running iOS 7.1

It's smooth, but I wouldn't say it's smoother than 8.x. At least, it's the best version of iOS 9. I see some lags from time to time, though.

The only stutters on the Air 2 that I have experienced is with the split keyboard open while scrolling or navigating favorites menu in safari

Dont do it.There are heavy stutters compared to 8.4.1

OT-iPad Air 2 performs badly compared to 8.4.1

Are you kidding me ? O_O 9.2 is alot better than 8.4.1. i did noticed that on Mini 2 after iOS 8 on Mini 2 it became bad :/ 7.1.2 and 9.2 is the best on older devices imo :) Then its iOS 7 design :)

My iPad Air 2 still has several issues with this iOS9 firmware - the use of my data plan has skyrocketed (most noticeable when downloading app updates as this new firmware still has Wifi dropout issues and Apple added Wifi assist to remedy it). 9.2 still has frequent situations where Safari has to reload the pages as they are loading. Yes lag and stuttering are still very present.

Note: wife's iPad Air also has all these issues.

Try disabling Wifi Assist. Thats a little known feature that can skyrocket an user's data plan

I thought iOS 9.2 would be completely lag free, reading what people said online, but I'm now worried that some of you guys say there are still stutters. I hate stutters so much, and that's why I went for Air 2 and not mini 4, as I know app switcher animation stutters on mini 4 (not >60fps). I wonder if iOS 9.3 will further improve performance, or it will slow down more, or it will just fix bugs.

Yes. I have to admit that iOS 9.2 does stutter randomly on iPad Air 2.

I'm either extremely tolerant or the luckiest guy on earth because I haven't had one hiccup with iOS 9 from day one. Same for El Capitan, Yosemite, or iOS 8. I just don't see them. Again, I'm not denying it happens, but it doesn't to me. On topic, the iPad Air 2 I have flies under 9.2, but it's no different than any other iOS 9 version I've had.

I don't think I'm that tolerant (because I'm the first to complain with slow internet and inconviencies or annoyances and I haven't seen any in the past two major releases on iOS and OS X). I guess my iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2 are really good, and my 2014 13" rMBP is flawless.

Again, I'm not saying there isn't problems but maybe they aren't as widespread as some would believe due to reviews and people's comments. It's just that people complain louder and more noticeably than they praise when things do work. For most people, when things work they just stay quiet and no need to say anything. But when something doesn't work they have no problem speaking up.

No complaints here either. 9.2 runs just fine for me.
