When is IOS 9.2 coming out? Little grey box pops up in my text box periodically. Called Apple, they said 9.2 would clear up a lot of the problems. Told me to do hard reset after resetting in the phone. Hard reset seems to have work for now. I have 9.0.2 in phone right now. Love the Iphone after switching over from Android. Hope to learn more about news of Apple on MacRumors.

No one know when it'll come out. I may be released when the iPad pro is, it may be that they test it longer. I would bet on the iPad pro release date or November 11th.

Well you could at least get current and move to 9.1

They just started beta on 9.2 so I bet it will be a little while.

You could always run 9.1?

Edit: Strike the beta suggestion. :)

What is the gray box that pops up? Where does it come up? Does have anything in it? What does it look like? Can you get rid of it when it comes up?

Are you talking about it appearing in the Messages app in the area where you would type a message to someone? If so, I believe that was one of things mentioned as being fixed in the iOS 9.1 update which you can update to at any time at this point.

double tap on home button, swipe up all the pages that are open. Restart phone will also get rid of gray inside text box. Hard reset has seemed to work for now and I have been texting and still haven't seen it yet and that was 2 days ago. I don't know where it pops up from . When I bought the phone about 3 weeks ago, it had an update of 27 mb, I guess that's were the .2 came from.

Getting the 9.1 update released last week should take care of it.

I doubt it will be out that soon. It would only be in beta for like two weeks. This seems like an optimization release and those tend to take longer because there usually isn't a product to have certain features ready for in time, etc. Lack of a specific deadline in other words. iOS 7.1 was in beta for 6 months.

That's true, but 9.1 had a really short beta period.

Because, like I mentioned, it had a hardware-based deadline. It had to be out for iOS devices to work with the Apple TV 4 I believe.

9.2 doesn't really have a "deadline" to my knowledge, so it could be like iOS 7.1 which was in beta from November to March. 9.2 could go through a very similar cycle, because it released almost in November. (Late October)

Technically speaking, as far as the actual details of the OP go, it doesn't matter when 9.2 would be released as the issue that was being described has already been addressed in 9.1.

That's 'cause they aren't lol. Some of the iOS 8 bugs were unacceptable.

iOS 7.0 would routinely respring several times a day until they fixed it SIX MONTHS LATER with 7.1.

Every version of iOS 8 was 1000x times better than iOS 7.0. You've just forgotten how unstable 7.0 really was.

I used it from the betas. It was the most unstable thing ever. I got caught up in the whole redesign thing though so I overlooked it. I installed it on a friends phone and 2 hours later they wanted it off.

No, I guarantee 9.2 won't be out before or at the same time as the iPad Pro. I think maybe the end of November maybe early December we'll see 9.2 go public.

I think I can say iOS 9.1 is better than 9.0.2. I would not suggest the iOS 9.2 beta for the average user. I'm not sure why the OP wants to upgrade to iOS 9.2 when he is only running an updated version of iOS 9.0.1
Perhaps the version numbers are a bit confusing.

I remember the resprings, but only remember having them once or twice a week. I also do remember how my iPad would sometimes get stuck in the app-flying-in animation with the multitasking gesture if you tried to switch pages too fast. It was impossible to get past this and do something else without rebooting. Other than that, 7.0 didn't cause that many issues for me to be completely honest, just really really slow animations and a bit of sluggishness.

8.0 had the multitasking gestures that straight up wouldn't work very frequently, unusable copy and paste, horrendous battery life on my iPhone 6 (impossible to get more than 3.5 hours), keyboards would, quite frequently, pop up in the incorrect orientation, my iPad would need to be rebooted daily or rotation would take upwards of ten seconds. It also had a glitchy animation, you would immediately get a black border that would rotate, but the actual content wouldn't do anything for like 10-30 seconds, sometimes they keyboard would not pop up for quick reply until you rebooted... The list goes on. I hated iOS 8 up until like 8.2. That was by far the best one for battery life for me, I got 10 hours of use on my iPhone 6 for the first time with this build! Frequently got 8 hours or more. Before that, all I could manage was 6 hours. After that and still this way to day, all I can manage is 6 hours.

Well going to just wait for 9.2 to come available when ever it does, hard rest took care of gray box. I have iphone 6 with 9.02 . can't complain about battery life, I can get 11 or 12 hours, but that is with just texting and checking email, or what ever comes up. Happy with it so far, simple and not a lot of apps I don't need or care to have.
This is the first Iphone for me, wife, & 2 of the kids have iphones. I bought wife a Mac pro air for Christmas last year.
