iOS 9.3.2 (Changed my backup option to backup Photo Library)

Has anyone else noticed this? I have found on 2 of my family's iPhones that the update to iOS 9.3.2 automatically checked the (iCloud backup option to back up my Photo Library).

When I tried to backup my phone to iCloud it mentioned I didn't have enough space to back up. When I went into the options, I noticed it was trying to send my Photos to iCloud (even though I have always kept this option OFF as I like to choose when photos from my phone are sent online). I don't feel comfortable having my photos backed up over the net, and this seemed like my photos would be backed up on the cloud even though I NEVER checked the option to back them up.

Has anyone else found this? If so, please send feedback to Apple to let them know if you are not interested in them automatically changing your preferences when we update to a new iOS.

I updated 3 iDevices so far.

All iPad mini, 6+, 6s+ still keep that function off.

Update: I've had most my family notice this on our iPhones. (4 of us so far). When going into the options, I chose: Settings> General> Storage and iCloud Usage> iCloud (Manage Storage)> Backups (clicked on my iPhone name)> and under that the Backup Options had not only my photo library, but ALL of our apps were checked to be included in the next iCloud backup. We had to re-UNcheck all the apps we didn't want backed up.
After unchecking the apps, we were all able to back up our iCloud accounts again, and were well under our backup max.

ive noticed the same thing, but even before this most recent update. i use google photos to backup my pictures, so when i kept get notifications that i was almost out of iCloud space, i was surprised. dug into the settings and found that pictures were being backed up -- the toggle had reset itself to ON.

even after moving it back to off, every couple weeks i get an iCloud notice....and see that photo backup is back on.

haven't done enough research to determine if that setting resets after each restart or reboot...but either way, it's annoying.

This is a disturbing accident. Backing up of private photos and info should be something that doesn't accidentally just turn itself on. (I worked in the medical field for years. If I had taken a picture of a patient's info from an office to do some research, and that photo would have been backed up without my knowledge, that is a HIPAA concern for their privacy, as well as a concern for my employment if somehow theres was an issue). I hope Apple realizes how sensitive some of this info is, and will make sure it doesn't happen like this again!

I had mine turn itself on before this last update. The only reason I noticed was that I got an iCloud storage is almost full, and it stopped backing up nightly.

To fix it, I had to turn off iCloud backups, delete my phone backup, and start all over. I did lose some icloud based app data because if it...

This also happens when you log out of iCloud and then log back in...backup turns its self on. I spoke to apple support to ask if this was a bug or intended behaviour they said it was designed in that way so people would have a backup if they needed it!!!

I'm sure this is true.

In my example it did it on it's own. I can't remember the last time I signed out and back in.
