Often enough it's just something that customer care/technical support will say if there's not much they can do about some issue (and/or they perhaps don't necessarily even see an issue). In quite a few circumstances various issues can and do go away with an update/install, sometimes because there's a fix for something or other that affects things, sometimes just because a new update/installation refreshes things and restarts things and that can get some glitches to disappear too. So, it's not necessarily a given that there would be or is supposed to be anything in the just released update that would specifically deal with a specific issue that you are having, or there might even be something there, but perhaps something that isn't helping your particular glitch, that perhaps isn't something many others are experiencing and is more unique to your device/setup.Maybe I have a defect last Genius Bar tech last month told me to wait for new software update
