iOS 9.3 Beta 2 Bug fixes, Changes and Performance Improvements

iOS 9.3 beta 2
Build: 13E5191d

Bugs (New only to Beta 2)
  • "Bluetooth Smart Accessories" may have difficulty connecting in this build (release notes)
  • If the News App was open before and during update, the app will launch, hang there for 10-15 seconds, then crash. For some clearing the App Switcher fixes this issue, for others it does not
  • the wallpaper is stuck to "still" and can't change to "perspective"
  • Cellular Data is not working in most apps for T-Mobile users
Changes
  • Updated Control Center with Night Shift toggle
  • Dedicated Night Shift menu options under Display & Brightness menu in Settings app
  • Night Shift Schedule now has a Sunset to Sunrise Toggle as an option. (setting time zone option must be enabled in location services > system service in order for the option to appear)
  • Wallpaper option removed from 3D Touch on Settings
  • Various 3D touch shortcuts were added to apps like Calculator, Tips etc.
  • Added "Add Playlist Songs to My Music" toggle under Settings > Music. One can add new songs to playlists without adding them to main library
  • Ability to choose only Apple Music playlists

Performance Improvements
  • Bluetooth switching fixed
  • iCloud for iBooks is working properly now
  • The bubble animation in text messages is now smooth (tested on iPhone 5S)
  • Lockscreen flashlight flicker is fixed when waking the device
  • Quick reply animation is smooth again
  • When sliding the icons to the left for spotlight, the animation is smoother but still a little bit stuttery (unclear on which iOS device)
  • While on a Bluetooth call, locking the phone doesn't end the call anymore

Performance Regressions
  • On devices utilizing OpenGL rendering pipeline such as the iPhone 5, Control Center and Spotlight pulldown are no longer 60fps smooth. The smoothness is now close to devices utilizing Metal as their rendering pipeline.
  • iPhone 6S Plus has problems pulling up notifications center. Sometimes it just doesn't pull up. This was tried using b1 -> b2 update as well as fresh b2 ipsw install. Same issue in both the install scenarios.
  • iPhone 6 Plus NC and CC noticeably choppy compared to Beta 1.

Downloading now, battery is lasting for six days, drained 98% in five seconds, Safari is snappier, the whole thing lags, News sucks, Nightshift burned my eyes out of their sockets and why are there still two Spotlights?

There, covered the bases for ya.

I see an updated control centre with a new icon on the bottom row on the iPhone on twitter so it looks like they added the icon row at the bottom (for apps and flashlight)

New Night Shift toggle in Control Center and also this thread is not a wiki.

It is under:

Settings -> Display and Brightness -> Night Shift

I don't remember any dedicated tab or any references to "Night Shift" in the previous beta
