I have installed the iOS 9.3PB and noticed a significant battery drain on my Apple Watch. I am still running WatchOS 2.1 w/o the Beta profile. Is the beta profile necessary to assure no battery drain? Or a full switch to 2.2? I am hesitant to do the full switch to 2.2 knowing that downgrading is impossible on the watch.

Thanks!

You could try un-pairing the watch and re-pair it back up. That usually does the trick when the watch starts to drain at a much quicker rate after any update to iOS or watchOS.

FWIW, I installed 9.3 PB yesterday. Watch battery drain is still normal for me. Been off the charger since 7 am and still at 73%.

Let us know if @lagwagon 's suggestion works for you.

Battery life on my watch has been normal also. Phone on 9.3 B1.1 and watch on release os.

Although I have had a few Bluetooth issues on the phone which caused a couple disconnects to the watch.

Anyone having trouble getting the watch to unpair and re-pair. i've update my 6S to 9.3, but can't get the watch to install the profile.. the watch still seems to be connected to the phone, but I've tried to unpaid and repair and I just get a "cannot connect to the watch please make sure it is nearby or paired"..

What is the next step to try to reset it? I've tried a full erase and delete all, but that too fails.

Spoke too soon. Issue came back again yesterday. Watch was drained by 3pm. I uninstalled the Outlook app, thinking that it may be the culprit since I got a host of email notifications. Today I am at 59% after 2hrs, 22 minutes of usage and 11 hours, 15 minutes of standby. Seems to drain a little quicker than usual, but not as bad as yesterday.

Still no one else experiencing issues with 9.3 beta. Should I have installed the beta watch profile?

You're not the only one - I'm seeing exactly the same sort of drain. I normally have about 40-50% of my battery left by the end of the day, but since installing 9.3 beta I get to about lunchtime and I'm hitting the low-power mode level.

Did you submit a bug report yet? How do I get the beta Watch profile? I've not tried a re-pairing yet and might do that later today if I get a chance...

I have uninstalled the Outlook app and that appears to have rectified it. There may have been a bug there that was causing a process to run.

Uninstalled Outlook also. Battery life on phone and watch are much, much better. Watch is at 74% since 5AM MST, phone is at 70% since 7:30AM MST
