So I have used the iOS 9 beta on my iPad Air with little issues. But my 6+ is my daily driver. How is iOS 9 on an AT&T 6+? Any issues I should know about? I mainly use the phone app, iMessage, FaceTime and Apple Music on my phone.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

It's pretty much the same as other devices--some people have various issues that others don't necessarily have, while most will have some generic issues that exist on other devices as well.

Lots of existing threads already here about this with detailed reports of bugs and apps not functioning.

I am using it on both my iPhone 6+ and iPad Air 2 with acceptable results (but I do have some issues)

Personaly, If I were you, stay away from the beta for your phone. IOS 9 didnt have much new stuff on the iPhone to waste your time and experience bug and glitch with your daily driver.

If your main focus is the default apps, you're likely going to be okay. I haven't ran into any issues with those.

As far as stability goes all the bugs I've encounter aren't major. They can all be fixed by sleeping the device and waking it. I'd say it's more stable and works better than iOS 8.0 did. It certainly multitasks better and the camera app no longer crashes or is laggy.

Messages will freeze if you get too many texts in a row while trying to use QuickType. That's the most annoying so far but nothing that can't be quickly fixed. I've reported 7 minor bugs/unexpected UI issues so far.

Only one major app (banking) I use doesn't work but it isn't a deal breaker.

If you don't have a problem being able to revert to iOS 8.4 if needed there isn't a reason not to try it.

Safari crashes a few times on mine, I don't get any notifications for iMessage either, also sometimes when I press the home button my screen goes completely black.

Other than that...

I had the public beta on my 6+, and I got tired of not being able to drag up control center without a restart so I took it off. Quite a few other bugs that I experienced as well. I love all of the new features that are going to be implemented though.

I have high hopes for Beta 4 across all my devices (Mac, iPhone, Apple Watch).

Beta 3 has been very stable, so I would imagine Beta 4 will excellent.

It's still somewhat buggy on the iPhone 6+. I was trying it out yesterday and Safari sometimes, freezes, lags or crashes. As some people reported, the volume button doesn't take photos anymore (not sure if this was omitted by accident or what). Also, Exchange email loads slower than usual or it sometimes refreshes everything in the inbox again.

To me, it's not worth these bugs for new features that make a negligible difference to the experience. I downgraded to iOS 8.4 and jailbroke it. Life is good now.

There are bugs, but the main apps work fine for me. I find my battery life is much better, system font is more legible, and Siri is improved. If you have 16GB storage, the update will also save you much needed space. I find restarting the device daily reduces the occurrence of bugs.

I'm getting odd heat issues on my 6 Plus running the latest public beta. Device gets very hot all of a sudden, usually when using Safari.

Iphone 6+ was laggy since day 1 (I've had an iPhone 6 before it), but the latest beta makes it even laggier. Wait for the next one, given the long time between the last beta, I suppose it's gonna fix a lot of things, or at least make it to the same level it was on 8.4. I know it's beta but I'm pretty disappointed, since one of the main features of the iOS9 in the conference was the "Metal" accelerating to stock apps. I've had clean installs straight to the beta and the phone still stutters a lot. I'd not recommend it for the time being.

when I had PB1 on my iPhone 6+ I had minimal issue's with the most common bugs. BUT the one that stopped me using it and going back to 8.4 was when I had my iPhone on charge it go really hot and would only charge to 50%

I'm using PB2 on my 6+ as daily driver and while it's generally OK, I'm having a lot of connevtivity issues.

It's annoying, because the phone will suddenly fail to connect through either WiFi or Cellular, but you don't know you've lost connection until you're actually using the phone.

This led to an incident last Monday when two cranes carrying a bridge fell down on top of several houses in a busy street in my home town, so everyone tried to contact me but I didn't respond because none of my messages or calls came through. It wasn't until I used Safari to check up on something when I realized my connection was gone again.

So my advice is, use Beta on non essential hardware ;)

I just downloaded the new IOS on my iphone 6 plus yesterday so I am still exploring. So far I really like the new notes app, but it is pretty much the same as other devices. I left El Capitan downloading on my Macbook Pro this morning, I still have to download the new IOS for my iMac and iPad.. I am very excited about the split view feature, finally apple added some multitasking!

I read somewhere that the 6+ is expected to get multitasking features but I can't find any legit sources that say that. Is there a chance that the plus at least gets the slide over feature?

God, I hope so, it would be so convenient! As of right now I know that the new IOS 9 features the split view (multitasking) for MAC and iPad. I will test OS X El Capitan Public Beta when I get home this afternoon.

man, looks like PB2 is not smooth yet. I'm on 8.4 and its buggy as hell on my 6+. Connectivity issues, very laggy, missed touches and such. I figured PB2 couldnt be much worse. I may wait for PB3.

That would be awesome but I highly doubt it. Unless you are referring to the 6S+, in which case it may get it (if the RAM gets bumped to 2GB).

Just a quick update... I've installed the latest beta (5), and it's slightly better, less / shorter hiccups and stutterings, but still far from ideal. The delay to start an app is also slightly smaller.
About the stability, I'm running it for about 5 hours without any major issues. If you don't mind the lag, you could easily use it as your daily driver.
