I don't think change the region or language in the setting will fix this problem. I even connect my iPhone to a VPN server in U.S, it still doesn't work. I finally closed the location service in case Apple identifies me by locating me. All in vain. It is very easy for Apple to identify where are you from, probably by the network you connect. I'm not proud of being born in China, the worst evil dictatorial censorship nation in the world, nor do I appreciate Apple being so smart to identify my location.

News may Never be able to use in China.

Never, like iTunes store and Apple music.

China probably have/will ban the app anyway.

Anyone else fascinated that the app recommends 9to5Google but not 9to5Mac? lol.

Apple can also refuse to provide this app to China users.

In fact, allowing App store and iTunes U is Really Great for Chinese users.

In future releases, proactive news link will be sent to News app, I think.

iTunes itself is OK, but iTunes Store is BANNED. App Store is available.

Who wants to break current fragile balance? :p (End up this topic here)

If App Store is not available, I wonder how iPhone can be sold in China

Inspired by an expert from Quora, he says that the phone's location is identified by the phone's GSM, so turn on AirPlane mode, and connect to a VPN server, news app will work. On an iPad Wi-Fi version, because it has no GSM, just connect to a VPN server and news app will work.

News app is in fact an apple version rss reader. Not available because it provides contents not acceptable.

yes, it is and i was finally able to get it to work

however, i have to turn on the airplane mode to do it, which is really pretty annoying.
maybe i should just use flipboard instead.

Yes, it's really disgusting. That's the problem I'm asking people for better solutions.
