How can you control the news feed on the 'spotlight page' (swipe left)?

I am located in Europe and the "News" app is not available here for the iphone, I suspect that there might be controls in that app which allow you to choose the source of your news feed.

I am stuck being fed news from CNN, (No thank you!) or turn off 'Siri suggestions' all together.

However I would prefer to be able to choose where this news feed gathers its information. I can not imagine that it is beyond the users control to choose the quality of the journalism being fed to him.

I am sure I am missing something.. Am I?

Any help is kindly appreciated.

There are no controls for it whatsoever so you're stuck with only the headlines Apple wants you to see, turning off Siri Suggestions at the top of spotlight search settings will stop showing news but will also stop all the other shortcuts on the spotlight page. It's very strange that they don't reflect your sources in the news app considering how the other spotlight shortcuts are aware of your usage habits.

Thanx for the answer.
This is not just strange but rather worrisome and plainly unacceptable. Siri suggestions will remain off until this issue is addressed. So sad what a disappointment.
