Apple, please, please, please let us have proper storage on iOS 9.

All I'm asking for is to allow ALL apps to save and load ANY document to iCloud Drive.

Surely it's not that much to ask!

Feedback sent to Apple!

I don't mean that. For example you can't save photos to iCloud Drive.

You can't add folders to iCloud Drive from iOS. You can't move stuff about on iCloud Drive from iOS.

Only some apps can save and load to it.

Basically iCloud Drive is just a pi** poor implementation of a storage system.

We just need the ability to save or load anything to the drive. It's can't be that hard surely?

It's just an unfinished product. I desperately want to dump my MacBook but I can't until I can save what I want to my iPad.

Pagemarkers, I can understand your frustration. Why not just use Google Drive?

Well you can do this from OS X, but it's part of iOS' philosophy to hide the file system from users.

What are you talking about? "Can't add folders to iCloud Drive from iOS. You can't move stuff about on iCloud Drive from iOS."

Yes you can't to both.

Tap "Select" on the top right. On the bottom you get three options.

- New Folder
- Move
- Delete

To add a folder tap New folder. To move something, select what it is you want to move (after tapping "Select" on the top right) then tap Move. You will be able to move what you selected.

I think you can. First go to Settings>iCloud>iCloud Drive and toggle it on. You'll then see an iCloud Drive icon on your home screen. Start from there.

Wow. Never knew that! Thank you.

Is there any way to save images to iCloud Drive in iOS?

No problem.

No, currently no way to share photos to iCloud Drive from the Photos app. Apps need to be writen to add iCloud Drive support.

With the rumours of OS X 10.12 this fall getting some Photos attention. iOS 10 Photos app could also be getting some attention (since updates to one needs to reflect to the other as they are intertwined) It's possible something like iCloud Drive support could get added down the road.

Just use Dropbox. I have been around the block with all of these cloud apps, Dropbox is still killing it. Integrates with the most services, syncs fastest, most reliable.. Just not too sure about security but for me I don't really need super safe cloud storage.

How exactly would this work when iOS doesn't have a file system that is visible/accessible to the user? Apple would have to create a Finder app on iOS so you can pick and choose what file(s) to save.

Agree with that. For me, it is not an issue as I load the files I want from my Mac. But if I were on Windows, I'm sure I would use something other than iCloud Drive.
