I have just installed the iOS GM on my iPad Air 2 and have restored using my local back up, but for syncing apps it is not sourcing them from my iTunes library, buy instead downloading them with Wi-Fi.

Has anyone else experienced this, and is there a way to get it to source the apps for my library?

I believe this is because you have sync via wifi enabled. Instead of creating a backup containing all of your installed apps the backup only contains the app data, the applications themselves are installed from your local iTunes copy. Not sure if you can disable the sync via wifi during the restore process without causing issues.

No I do not have that Sync Via Wi-FI enabled. Never have.
