Hi

I listen to a lot of podcasts and music on my iPhone (5 with iOS 9.0.2) and wondered if my ears are bad or if the sound is actually lower but today I noticed that it was. I experienced this twice using different headphones and the first time I listened to Spotify, the second time to Podcaster. The thing that happened was that the sound was low until I got a text notification. After the notification-sound the volume of the music/podcast increased remarkably and stayed in, what I consider, a normal level without the volume bar in control center adjusting or anything.

This may sound weird but since I experienced certain difference twice using different apps and headphones I'm coming to think that there is a bug or something wrong with my phone. Anyone else noticed anything similar?

i've noticed the same thing. when this happens, i've also noticed that when i press the power button to go to the lock screen, it doesn't show the clock, but the audio player with no file name loaded. usually indicates that something is in the background trying to play audio or video.

last time i noticed this, it was the mlb app. force closed it, and audio returned to normal levels.

This happens to me, too. You can provoke the sound to get louder in this way by making the system make a noise. For example, go to Settings > Sounds > Lock Sounds and toggle it off, then on.

This has been a bug for several bugs. I doubt it is Facebook. I do not even have Facebook on my handset and i have this crazy bug. I have reported it to apple a few times it does not seem to matter to them
