I have a Space Grey iPhone 5S 32 GB, it runs iOS 8 perfectly just like the iPhone 6, Is upgrading to iOS 9 a good idea or i should stick with iOS 8??

Did you forget to update to beta 2 or...?
I'll grant battery life isn't quite what it was for me on iOS 8.4 on my 6 Plus yet, but iOS 9 beta 2's battery life is verifiably and significantly better than the battery abortion that was iOS 9 beta 1.
Betas often don't really say much about what the final version will be like as far as stability, performance, battery usage, etc. go.
This. A beta is in no way an indication as to what the release version will be like. Much more processes are ongoing in beta software including real-time diagnostics. The code included in betas is often not optimised since the features are in their early stages.
Just wait for the release of iOS9 and I'm sure you'll be pleased.
I would have to disagree with you on this. My iP6 is still not as good as it was on 8.3 however it is usable. At times it's too hot to even hold.
I believe iOS9 is going to shape up to be a great release.
Ah, what I should have said was on my 5S it lasts until I put it on the charger when I got to bed. I don't know how much longer it would last or how that compares to 8.4 - from getting up till going to bed is fine in my book.
On good account, I am being told that upgrading to iOS 9 on a Space Grey iPhone 5s is not a great idea. It has been optimised for the Champagne Gold ones. Just kidding.
If you are comfortable with the ideas such as:
1. Some apps (and maybe apps you cannot do without) are not optimised for iOS 9 and hence may simply crash
2. Some apps may work but display would render wrong due to some code change in iOS 9
3. You will be able to downgrade to iOS production firmware such as 8.4 but may possibly lose some iCloud stuff due to the upgrade you would have done, then go ahead and try it out. I am on iOS 9 and it has worked beautifully so far. Champagne Gold 64GB here.
The Live Departure Boards in the UK Train Times app I use currently don't display the time, which is a bit of a bummer!
iPhone 5s user here .. My question is, is the performance better than 8.4 ?? I'm thinking about installing the Public Beta when it releases in July and I'm wondering if I should do so .. I'm not really interested in the features of iOS9, so if the performance is worse than 8.4 then I'll probably stay where I am ..
Yeah! Here in India, we have Flipkart, an e-commerce portal whose mobile app screens scale and render perfectly on an iPhone 5 running 8.4, but the menus and input boxes have gone slightly skewed on my 5s on iOS 9. It looks like the screen goes full scale as if it was being rendered to fit an iPhone 6 screen, but I am on a 5s, so some bug somewhere either in the beta or in the app. I do remember reading about this render issue in release notes, either on beta 1 or 2, don't remember now. They mentioned that apps using a particular code will have such an issue and developers should now use an alternate code (mentioned).
Really? Mine runs absolutely fine, in terms of speed (there are crashes though). Mine's an A1457.
So there is no lag when swiping through multitasking apps? No lag when launching the control center?
But... it is known that black is faster and white is slowerI heard it only works well on the gold models.. space grey models lag.

You'll have to wait until the Public Beta is released to find out how it performs. I have not discerned a change in performance on my 5S running Beta 2. However, based on your own statement, it seems like you would be best served by just waiting until iOS 9 is released in the Fall. While the performance is fine, there are certainly bugs and crashes that happen in Betas.
You can try it out. Really, it is a very stable OS for daily use, I dare say. Some apps will crash and not work, but that is hardly the OS's "fault", because the apps can't really be optimised for code changes till the corresponding Xcode is shipped to developers, and even if developers try to ship an app with forward compatibility with the new OS, it will be rejected due to the code not being "allowed" to go public just yet.
Beta 1 & 2 has horrid battery life on my 5S, and it would get damn hot at times doing (seemingly) nothing.
I wouldn't my 6 Plus has serious loss in battery due to the beta. Wait for public release at least if you cant wait for final build.
