Since upgrading to iOS9 PB3, when I launch the Podcast app, I'm greeted with a Updating Library screen, then the app crashes, overtime. I've tried closing the app completely, restarting and even turning off wi-fi/cellular.

Anyone else seeing the Podcast app crash?

I have not encountered this issue.

You should report this to Apple via the Feedback app included with your Public Beta.

I have the same problem. Installed iOS9 and now podcast app is crashing. Any suggestions. Talking with Apple iPhone support is not helping...they were not even aware of the problem. But I've seen numerous people reporting it.

After the public release of iOS 9, my issue still wasn't resolved, so I had to take matters into my own hands to get this fixed.

I took a backup of my phone and downloaded a utility that allowed me to browse the backup...the name escapes me at the moment, but I'll be able to check when I'm home.

Essentially what I did was browse the backup and delete any of the plist / setting files relating to the Podcast app...search every directory in the backup and manually delete it. I even went as far as deleting the podcasts I was subscribed to, just to start from a clean slate. I then used iTunes to restore the manually modified backup to my iPhone. The Podcast app now loads :) It's tedious but it's the only way it seems.
