Out of curiosity for anyone running iOS 9, have they added more tuning for defining a cellular period? In all past releases you could never define a period and had to manually reset usage on your own which was always something you had to remember to do.

I have a really simple system for this. VZW sends me an email when my bill is available. When I receive the email, I pay the bill. After paying the bill, I reset statistics. Pretty easy.

Except the bill is posted 5-7 days after the close of the cycle. So you are already that far into your next cycle. So this only works if you are consistent with your monthly data, but if you happen to use a lot in the first 5 days before the bill posts, your month will be off.

The current data usage is shown on the same page as the amount due. I would know to mentally add that to the statistics on the phone.

The Celular Data app has a wonderful widget, you set your limit and you get a nice little gauge on what you're using on the Notification screen.

That doesn't really make it simple. You might as well simply use the My Verizon app to see data usage for the given cycle, and it even includes a widget that you can enable and quickly use and check on data usage (for the whole plan) from the Notification Center basically anytime.

You are probably better off using a data tracking app, either one from your carrier or from a third party, and that would either can automatically do it or perhaps give you a reminder at least to reset, and many have a widget you can add so that you can check on usage quickly.
