Hi,

On iPad: Tap and hold two fingers on the keyboard to select text and / or move the cursor quickly.

On both iPhone and iPad: The letters on the keyboard will now appear as lowercase or uppercase depending on whether or not Caps lock is enabled.

That's about it.

The keyboard key character preview (bubble above key you tap to show you what you're tapping) is now off by default. Personally I hated that and turned it back on.

On iPad they have added some additional shortcut keys for copy/paste and depending on the application some markup features.

On iPad: There's also quick commands on top of the keyboard such as cut/copy/paste.

Still no option to make the dark version the default. Don't understand the logic of not offering such a simple thing. Yes, 3rd party blah blah blah, but why not just an option for the stock?

thank god you pointed this out! the now default lack of visual feedback of the character you are typing is awful imo, and pretty much encapsulates everything that is wrong with the shift in direction apple has taken since ios7.

i bet anything though they are trying to hide visual feedback as much as possible so they can upsell haptic feedback on the new phones as a solution to a problem they just created.

It's only in betas so far, and not even all that consistent it would seem, so hard to say what actual defaults would apply when it's all actually done and released.

I also don't understand why Apple still doesn't offer that in iOS9 (at least not in current betas). I also hope that they will add swiping like Swype and Swiftkey. I'd love to get that in the standard Apple keyboard instead of using Swype and still have to switch keyboards for certain things.
