so I have called apple twice and they don't know what to do. so I can take it to apple. well great, I live 3 hrs from an apple store. the ipad has the apple logo up and the bar is a 1/3 of the way full. we tried a reset with iTunes and it went through the whole download and came back to the screen the same way. I will never do another ios update because I always have some issue. never this serious but usually I have to call in for help.

any ideas. I am so frustrated.

it wont power off or anything. it just keeps blinking and restarting and picking up where it was stuck and not moving. its going to do this until battery drains I guess cause I cant turn it off or anything.

Try this - the issue is garnering visibility. There is the Apple solution (kind of) listed here o_O

There have been other 9 upgraders yesterday who experienced the same blinking and restarting. Don't know if they managed to do a work around but you might want to read through some of the other threads specifically captioned with the iPad. I think some people might have found something that worked but since it wasn't a problem I had wasn't paying that close of attention.

I encountered a different issue - the slide to unlock problem on my iPad 2 running a system 7.1.1 upgrade. My iPhone update went fine. My OS9 on my MBP went fine. After an hour got my Watch updated to 2.0. The iPad was the last to do :(. Fortunately I do have other devices I can use until the update on this bug comes out. Totally understand the fear in upgrading though.

On my last call to Apple with that guy said they believe there is a bug in the back up. Not just my back up but others are experienced the same thing. I just hope to God I can get to one of my backups as I have pictures and videos that I would like to have. What is the point of a back up if you can't get to the back up. This is the last iOS upgrade I will do.

I have been able to restart as new. But that does me no good on most of my videos and pictures in my camera roll
